What were your classes like in your first year or in your major/concentration, especially transitioning from Shen? 

Significantly less teacher involvement in everyday learning compared to high school

What academic experiences have stood out to you at your college in either positive or negative ways?

Joining a study association with the intention to plan and then promote educational trips in the Netherlands and across Europe

How was your online learning experience at your college? What resources did your college provide you during this time?

In my personal opinion, no additional resources were given during the coronavirus pandemic

What did your college do well or poorly to support students and communities when COVID-19 first hit?

Erasmus struggled to give a defined plan of action telling us when exams would be held

If students are interested in your major/concentration, what extracurricular activities do you recommend they do at your college?

As mentioned earlier, I am a member of the IBEB committee at EFR and would recommend students to do the same if they plan to study economics

What are common things to do on weekends? Do students commute back home for the weekend or are there events on campus?

As the drinking age is 18, bars and clubs are popular on the weekends :)

What advice would you give to current Shen students when applying to your college?

Check the admission requirements before applying. I believe a minimum of 4 AP classes are mandatory to be taken if you even wish to be considered

The unbelievably international student body

What do you wish you knew about your college when you were a senior at Shen?

More on the methods used to teach students (ie: how much contact you have with your professor, what resources will best help you pass exams, etc)

Before COVID-19, what was the housing like at your college? What would you recommend to Shen seniors to find their roommates?

No housing affiliated with the university, everyone has their own apartment or flat in the city that they must find on their own

How is the financial aid situation at your college?

Erasmus rarely gives out financial aid due to its extremely low cost of tuition
